In creative writing we have to make 2 poems, 1 like William Carlos Williams and one like Sylvia Plath.
This one is supposed to be like William Carlos Williams’s poems.
I came up with this poem while reading:
The Great Figure by William Carlos Williams
Among the rain
and lights
I saw the figure 5
in gold
on a red
firetruck
moving
tense
unheeded
to gong clangs
siren howls
and wheels rumbling
through the dark city.
And while closing my bedroom door with my ruler while sitting at my desk.
In creative writing we have to make 2 poems, 1 like William Carlos Williams and one like Sylvia Plath.
This one is supposed to be like William Carlos Williams’s poems.
