Come now and listen,
For I wish to explain,
Why Curiosity's landing
Is no playing game.
Science can take us
Onward from Mars
And shoot us past planets
And into the stars.
We shall learn how to crawl
On our big orbiting friend
So we can dance and sing
Where the light tends to bend.
One day we can venture
Into the dark unknown
And we shall say it was Mars
Where our ships were grown.
So do not belittle
Our Curiosity's landing,
For one day on Mars
WE could be standing.
It takes but a step
To start on a run,
And our space adventure
Has only begun.
